Data Protection

Instead of using a participant’s name, you may use an ID number (or perhaps a nickname) when completing the ‘before’ survey and repeat the survey with the same individual at the end of the intervention, as long as the same identifier is used both before and after. It is important to take appropriate care when collecting survey data, particularly as some of the responses may reveal sensitive information about your respondents. HACT does not prescribe data protection procedures; you may need to discuss this with your local data protection officer if you are unsure how to proceed.
